BLAQISH

BlaQish is a striking and abstract work, defined by dark personas and razor -sharp choreography. Set to a powerful original drum line score, the piece draws inspiration from the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, weaving together real-life narratives that confront and question relationships, cultural identity, and the complexities of brotherhood and sisterhood. With bold movement and rhythmic intensity, BlaQish explores strength, unity, and the unspoken tensions that shape connection and community.

BlaQish was funded by National Dance Foundation of Bermuda

"Its moves and grooves examine the relationship of those in the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Rikkai Scott's choreography is intriguing"
